Writing Coach Services

Linden provides a FREE initial 15-minute phone consultation.

She usually suggests that new clients (especially those already working on a project) hire her to critique their writing. This service usually costs between $500 and $1,000 and is non-refundable. Linden reads through the whole manuscript (or however many pages they have already written), and provides a detailed memo about what she thinks works, what doesn’t, and what’s needed. If you agree with her analysis and want to proceed, Linden can either function as a writing coach or as an editor.

You can choose among four writing coach packages. Non-refundable monthly fees are due in advance at the beginning of each month. Most clients prefer the convenience of credit card billing, in which you authorize automatic billing each month (no checks to write and no reminders!). 

Bronze Plan

• $275/month
• Two 30-minute phone coaching sessions per month (or equivalent)
• Up to one hour manuscript reading & critique, developmental editing and email exchanges per month

Silver Plan

• $350/month
• Two 30-minute phone coaching sessions per month (or equivalent)
• Up to two hours manuscript reading & critique, developmental editing and email exchanges per month

Gold Plan

• $500/month
• Four 30-minute phone coaching sessions per month (or equivalent)
• Up to three hours manuscript reading & critique, developmental editing and email exchanges per month

Platinum Plan

• $1,000/month
• Eight 30-minute phone coaching sessions per month (or equivalent)
• Up to seven hours manuscript reading & critique, development editing and email exchanges per month

Customized Plan

• Starts at $1,000/month

With any of these packages, additional reading, critique and email exchanges extending past the time frames outlined in the package are available upon request, and will be charged at $125/hour (a $25 discount over the regular hourly fee).

Linden strongly recommends that you commit to a minimum three-month writing coaching relationship. Together you will set month-by-month phone sessions and deadlines for you to get her newly written material, preferably at the same time each week. If you must reschedule either, 24-hour notice is required. Missed sessions must be made up during that same calendar month or be forfeited.
